Lake Delavan Lakefront Home Pier Sleeps 6

We enjoyed our stay at Nick's place. The house was squeaky clean, with lots of space to hang out together, and Lake Delavan was lovely. There was a weird lack of lamps, so that it was either lit up like WalMart or totally dark. We were hoping to be able to swim off the dock, but it was too weedy, unfortunately. Luckily, we were able to rent a pontoon boat just down the road (Lake Delavan Boat Rentals) and enjoyed being on the lake. Fishing on the lake and off the dock were both fantastic. We had a great time. Thank you!

Spacious & bright home with great deck, a nice dock & boat lift plus beautiful lake views. Nice washer & dryer. The mattresses were soft & low quality and very low water pressure in upstairs shower. Gas grill didn’t work, but management company swapped it for another grill. FYI for future renters, both grills required manual lighting (because igniters didn’t work). There was a stick lighter but I would bring a lighter just in case. Note-there is sofa sleeper in the basement where the second bathroom is located.

Overall, we had a good stay and the location was definitely the highlight. It’s within walking distance of the Watershed and South Shore Bar, making it easy to enjoy the area without having to drive. Downtown Delavan and other local spots are less than a 10 min drive. The dock was also great for fishing and spending time on the lake.The kitchen is well-equipped and works well if you plan on cooking meals during our stay. Beyond that, though, the house is pretty basic. There are very few amenities inside or outside the home (including chairs/seating), and not much to keep kids entertained if you’re planning to spend a lot of time at the property. We purchased/brought our own fishing poles, inner tubes, lilly pad, and fire pit. If you’re looking for a very simple place to stay in a good location and plan to be out exploring the lake and surrounding area, this property fits the bill. If you’re expecting a lot of extras or resort-style amenities, you may want to adjust your expectations.
